The F-35 Hybrid Support Integration (HPSI) is seeking a F135 on-site Depot Maintenance Manager at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH facility. The primary responsibility of this role will be to integrate with the East Hartford Mx Management team and provide depot module sustainment recommendations to the Government HPSI team in direct liaison and collaboration with F-35 Joint Program Office, Mx management team and additional industry personnel (LM, NGC, BAE & RR).

This is an exciting opportunity to join the F135 Sustainment team which is focused on product readiness during rapid fleet growth, activation of multiple depot locations while preparing for the 1st scheduled overhaul maintenance interval.

This role requires the incumbent to be located on-site and co-located with the government and industry HPSI team at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide module specific tactical oversight and management of all areas regarding depot network repair
  • Coordinate with SCM team for delivery and prioritization of assets (to include retrogrades)
  • Translate field and unit module demands and communicate those needs with EH Mx management team to determine induction priorities
  • Report module maintenance repair status on demand to HPSI leadership
  • Escalate priority of needs through government HPSI & Ops Center personnel for retrograde of unserviceable assets critical to meeting fleet supportability requirements
  • Team with the module Component Aftermarket Integration Product Team in developing fleet support solutions
  • Ensure supporting requirements, including Support Equipment, are in place to minimize induction delays at all depot facilities
  • Review module production capabilities with HPSI on a recurring basis
  • Develop action plans and solutions to alleviate short term-work stops and long-term capacity constraints
  • Communicate significant challenges and shortfalls that require leadership and HPSI intervention and assistance through the weekly performance meetings
  • Evaluate effectiveness by elevating asset priority to determine Best-Value for the Program
  • Deliver weekly depot status updates and brief HPSI leadership real time status and issue resolution; recommend COAs necessary to meet unit readiness objectives
  • Develop and coordinate long term HPSI strategy to align with government HPSI and OSD sustainment strategies.
  • Operate in accordance with HPSI Business Rules and Sustainment Operating Instructions
  • Provide sustainment recommendations and draft revisions to the business rules as required
  • Leverage RTX CORE Operating System to lead network wide continuous improvement projects that will improve depot processes and overcome significant production constraints
  • Occasional travel may be required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in aerospace, engineering, or related technical field required.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in aircraft and/or propulsion maintenance management.
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
  • Must have current secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical and/or Logistics background
  • Familiarity with the F135 Production/Depot level maintenance
  • Proficient with Microsoft software programs/data bases/Project/Visio
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and organization, with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic work environment, problem solving skills and experience.
