The B-52 Bomber, powered by the TF33 engine, provides the USAF with an extremely important mission. Over the years, mission readiness for this weapon system has degraded and the USG is working closely with P&W to recover sustainment of the fleet. As a result, the TF33 program has undergone a tremendous resurgence and is experiencing significant programmatic growth. This presents an opportunity to utilize modern manufacturing methods – alongside legacy best practices – to more rapidly develop the TF33 industrial supply chain.

Navigating one of P&W’s most mature propulsion systems through a modern manufacturing environment requires a unique set of skills. To support growth, industrial program management expertise is required to assess the current industrial landscape and develop new approaches to support spare parts growth.

You will have the opportunity to work in a highly dynamic industrial environment, and engage with the entire IPMT, to develop the most efficient and effective ways to industrialize a large growing population of spare parts.

You will provide recommended manufacturing process alternatives based on improved manufacturability, producibility or technical requirements.

This role is stationed in East Hartford, CT.

  • Engage with Operations and Engineering to assess industrial and technical manufacturing risk
  • Identify, develop, and document industrial cold start process improvements
  • Interface with key members of IPMT leadership to support large production ramp
  • Represent PMO in strategic IPMT and ISMT decision making
  • Up to 20% travel may be required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or business (manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering preferred)
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial operations and / or engineering required.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • US Citizenship required due to Government Contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Team player with the ability to interface with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication with the ability to work across the enterprise
