Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

Pratt & Whitney is an industry leader and provider of products, services and technologies that have defined the aero-power Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) industries. As a provider of engines, parts and services, Pratt & Whitney offers a well-balanced portfolio aircraft engines for both commercial and military applications.  Pratt & Whitney’s has an extensive aftermarket presence in the US, Europe and Asia with over 60 years of MRO experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, Development, and provide support of the Quality Management System (HQMS)

  • Analyze and monitor suppler quality escapes

  • Maintain Contracted Maintenance Function (CMF) list of supplier information

  • Participate on “critical supplier reviews”

  • Periodic preparation and presentation of supplier quality metrics

  • Monitor annual surveys and certificate expiration reports

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent with knowledge in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and aeronautical industry QMS standards
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar capacity or equivalent in the aviation industry
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MRO experience preferred
  • Understanding of various Civil Aviation Regulations (FAA, EASA, CAAC and CAAS).
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120
  • Understanding of ASQR-02, AS9102, AS9145 & AS9146
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical skills to develop monitor and interpret key metrics and business indicators.
  • Candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset
