We are seeking a highly motivated Specialist, Quality Engineer. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the next generation of P&W digital products and services.

Reporting within the Digital Product Management organization, the successful candidate will be seasoned in implementing and conducting comprehensive automated quality assurance processes for digital products.

Digital products that the team helps to manage include customer portals, enterprise analytic systems, engine health management systems, and digital twin & thread environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and maintains quality evaluation with test cases and systems with practices and documentation to ensure a quality product.
  • Provides explanations of testing activities and plans, methods and/or technologies to assure reliability and conformance of products and processes.
  • Provides analysis and develops recommendations for corrective actions for improvements, issues, and risks for software solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional team for creating specifications, testing plans, methods, and tools to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Ensures documentation and practices are compliant with requirements, industry standards and regulations, objectives and/or contracts.
  • Develops proactive quality initiative strategies, research new technologies, and drives their implementation.
  • Ensures all requirements are met for software solutions in appropriate environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience or High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 5+ years of experience.
  • US citizenship required due to government contract.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages like C# or C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, TypeScript, Node, and Python.
  • Expertise in automated testing products like SonarQube, BlackDuck, TestComplete, UFT, Selenium, JMeter, or others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Technical Quality Assurance with knowledge in white and black box testing, regression testing, performance testing, and/or functional & non-functional testing, or others.
  • Experience designing and implementing automated testing of digital products.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and reports.
  • Ability to prioritize and work autonomously and with team to ensure quality products.
  • Familiarity with industry standard cyber security requirements.
  • ITIL, Agile, and ACE certifications preferred.
  • Practiced Waterfall and Agile software delivery practices and expectations.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries or government solutions preferred.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical plans to technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders at all levels of organization.
