The F117 Logistics Program Management (LPM) organization provides comprehensive fleet management services for all fielded F117 engines. The F117 LPM manages the overhaul and repair of all removed engines and also provides support for the engines installed on the 275 C-17 aircraft operated by the USAF and international air force customers.

You will be a member of the F117 LPM Technical Management Team, whose mission is to provide the highest level of technical support to ensure sound engine configuration management policies leading to superior fleet operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess part disposition reports to determine if repair/limit expansion should be pursued or to provide vendor with program’s approval to scrap the part
  • Support a team dedicated to validating, analyzing, and interpreting large amounts of maintenance data to provide insightful and meaningful conclusions that can be used across the F117/C17 and Tanker Programs.
  • Evaluate engine build standards to achieve time on wing goals, trending, and analyzing shop data to identify adverse hardware durability trends, and recommend changes to the F117 Minimum Build Standard that will improve time on-wing and/or reduce program costs.
  • Analyze engineering changes for fleet impacts, including sustainability and maintenance practice changes.
  • Coordinate with other LPM team members and Customer Support Engineering to determine fleet management implementation strategies.
  • Support periodic Customer Program Meetings.
  • Ownership of cold section (Fan/LPC/HPC) hardware from an LPM Technical Management team perspective

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related technical field required.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience of shop maintenance experience in the field of aviation required.
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
  • Ability to obtain secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous C17/F117 experience preferred
  • Engine overhaul shop, engine test, and/or Air Force depot or flight line maintenance experience Knowledge of jet engine repair and overhaul maintenance practices
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access
  • Experience with USAF G081 system, Solumina, Maintenix and SAP is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work within a team environment
