Pratt & Whitney Aftermarket Operations has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Partner (HRP) supporting our East Hartford Repair Operations business located in East Hartford, CT.  This is a hybrid role will be based in East Hartford.  

The East Hartford Repair Operations (AMO) organization is a part of our aftermarket and service business within Commercial Engines and employs ~354 in CT Stators & Components and CT Rotating Parts.

HR Partner Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support recruiting activities,
  • Maintain positive employee & labor relations,
  • Coach managers to lead successful teams,
  • Accelerate the development of our top performers,
  • Execute key strategic HR initiatives, and
  • Lead the cultural transformation at Pratt & Whitney.

More specifically the EHRO HRP will:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to site leaders on key processes and best practices to align HR initiatives with strategic objectives for the business
  • Set the HR direction and priorities for the site aligned with business priorities and P&W HR flight plan
  • Develop strong, positive working relationships with HR colleagues, leaders, and employees
  • Act as a credible and trusted advisor who can influence leaders and advocate for employees
  • Coach leaders through challenging performance management situations
  • Analyze and use data and reporting to drive decisions and influence leaders
  • Link HR initiatives to business objectives
  • Coach employees and leaders on performance, career planning and other topics
  • Oversee the management of labor practices and policy including grievance cases, arbitrations and conciliations and administers compliance policies
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment regulations including EEO/AAP
  • Embody, influence and drive positive culture throughout the business
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (< 10%) 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Human Resources, Organizational Development or Psychology
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience with a Bachelor's Or: 
  • 5 years with an MBA / Master’s
  • Must have at least 5 years of demonstrated HR experience in areas of compensation planning, employee development and succession planning, employee relations and recruiting, including: 
  • Experience working with senior leadership to communicate and implement HR programs to support the business goals
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including production floor and executive audiences
  • Proven customer focused experience and excellent business judgment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of labor relations experience such as managing the grievance procedure and compliance with a collective bargaining agreement.
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience in manufacturing or aerospace
  • Internal candidate preferred
