Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated individual for its Military Engines Fighter & Mobility (F&M) Finance Team supporting the F100 program.  The position has P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility and significant exposure to P&W and Military Engines senior executives.  The ideal candidate is an energetic, intuitive, self-starter interested in supporting and improving the accounting, reporting, and financial actual and forecasting processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with the F100 Program Senior Director and the program leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and assess impact of business decisions on the financial results.
  • Prepare all financial support for monthly F100 program reviews.  Brief program leadership each month on the financial results and drive accountability for profitability across the organization. 
  • Work closely with the program and the operations/supply chain organization to measure product cost and risk to the financial plan.
  • Manage F100 program finance team and focus on expanding and developing their financial analysis and experience.
  • Lead all financial activities related to the F100 program including, but not limited to financial analysis, monthly reporting and forecasting as well as the annual long range plan process (LRP), understanding monthly financial actuals, and supporting ME financial leadership.
  • Drive balance sheet discipline, particularly with inventory management, accounts receivable, and quarterly/annual EAC’s
  • Ethically and compliantly ensure alignment with the program on all internal controls and standard policies.
  • Support the program in negotiations with the US government as it relates to all F100 current and proposed contracts. 
  • Evaluate and substantiate all pricing and business proposals on future business.
  • Relentlessly drive process improvement leading to leaner and more efficient financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross program finance leads to drive best practices.
  • Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • A minimum of 12 years of Program and /or Manufacturing Finance experience
  • At least 7 years of Leadership and management knowledge with the ability to lead cross-functional teams required.
  • US Citizenship required due to Government Contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Advanced degree is preferred.           
  • Strong leadership/mentoring abilities to develop the finance team
  • Manufacturing and supply chain experience
  • Familiarity with FAR15/FAR12 commercial contracting with USG
  • Experience working in an “actual cost” environment
  • You possess a very strong knowledge of SAP and SAP/Business Warehouse including ability to design and improve reporting using both tools.
  • You should be results focused and able to balance competing and changing priorities
  • Above average teamwork and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills including variance analysis (intellectual inquisitiveness)
  • Strong computer proficiency including MS Excel and PowerPoint
