Through Commercial Engines’ network of maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) facilities, along with its partners and customers, Aftermarket Operations (“AMO”) supports thousands of engine shop visits around the world each year, including the Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engine family.  The AMO Strategy team is looking for an individual to develop and lead the Strategic Review Board (“SRB”) process with the objective to identify key trends, challenges, opportunities, and recommended actions that will drive growth and profitability for our business.  In this high visibility role, the AMO Strategic Projects Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the company and around the globe, including Engine Overhaul Centers, Part Repair Shops, and Line Maintenance Services, to provide strategic analysis and value-add recommendations to senior leadership that enable AMO to achieve world-class results and keep our customers flying.  We Succeed, Together.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, communicate, execute, and sustain key strategic project initiatives impacting the current and/or future state of Aftermarket Operations
  • Lead high-level Strategic Review Boards to provide a forum for discussing long-term AMO objectives as well as targeted SRBs to progress high-level strategies to decision and execution
  • Work with MRO shops to develop annual and long-range network capacity and capabilities picture, including shop visit demand forecast vs. capacity strategies, repair portfolio analysis and bidding strategies for GTF industrialization
  • Identify key aftermarket challenges and opportunities facing AMO and drive alignment and decisions on those issues including investment strategy, CAPEX eCAR approvals and other executive briefing materials
  • Develop strong working relationships with business units, operational, supply chain, licensing and finance focals in order to both lead and support cross-functional teams
  • Support and lead presentation of key strategic findings to senior AMO leadership
  • Further develop SRB standard work and strategic planning/analysis frameworks to facilitate and improve decision-making processes within the AMO business
  • Responsible for entire projects with significant scope and complexity

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred)

Experience / Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations Management, Project Management, Supply Chain and/or relevant Strategy Development / Consulting experience
  • 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office suite programs; strong use of MS PowerPoint & Excel
  • Executive presentation experience with strong communication skills
  • Successful track record for managing projects and influencing stakeholders
  • U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident Status (Green Card) is required
  • Domestic and international travel required (30%); must have valid passport or be capable of acquiring one

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience within aerospace manufacturing or aftermarket MRO environment, with focus on Operations, Project Management, Supply Chain or Strategy Development / Consulting experience
  • Detailed knowledge of aftermarket industry and repair station operations
  • Ability to review/absorb large amounts of data and connect recurring issues or trends and extract key messages/potential solutions for leadership team 
  • Project management and strategic analysis experience
  • Experience creating and leading boardroom presentations with senior leadership
  • Prioritize multiple objectives while still meeting near-term and long-term deadlines
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, subject matter experts, and global team members in cross-matrixed organization
  • Familiarity with Lean Tools and methodologies; ACE Associate preferred
